THE MELODIC MINOR CHORD SCALE

The Melodic Minor Ascending Scale was devised in early european music to overcome the ungainly augmented 2nd interval (tone & a half) from the 6th note of the harmonic minor scale to the 7th note of the scale.By raising the 6th degree one semitone this melodic problem was overcome.
